We went through Cruise Complete to get a bid for our trip and Anne from Cruise Planners responded. While we got several other quotes from other agencies, even ones with discounts, Anne was the only one that took the time to understand what my needs are and found us exactly what we needed (we needed two connecting cabins and a third cabin right next door). The cruise went great, very enjoyable one-time thing. Major issue at Aston hotel. Your Avis rental went smoothly, and we got a big roomy Ford Expedition. Problem arose with Aston parking garage. For some inexplicable reason, their vehicle clearance is only 6'3". We scraped the luggage racks going through nearly every overhead beam! I figured out a solution, by having two travel companions sit in the far back seat and another sit in the middle seat to smash down the springs. We still scraped on some overheads but we were able to make it through. The Aston appears to be an older hotel with some wear issues (paint peeling, clothes dryer just barely working, etc.) , but the rooms were still nice and the 37th floor views were fantastic. Whenever you book anyone at the Aston again, BE SURE to warn them about the very low clearance in the parking garage, and to consider that when renting a car. Anne's super power is picking the right hotel! She's done this three times for me - she seems to know what I need/like before I know. With my most recent trip (Washington, DC), United Airlines gave away my seat. Unfortunately, despite her behemoth efforts, United wouldn't make things right; however, I felt very secure having her fight this battle. She is always QUICK to reply to my travel requests/questions, and make arrangements. One of my favorite things is that she works with me via email (instead of phone). I just returned from an 8-day cruise to Eastern Caribbean, aboard the Equinox. I have now cruised with 5 or 6 different cruise lines and here is my take on this one. The ship was beautiful, the entertainment was top notch, rooms were not real cramped as on Norwegian, help was hit or miss as friendly and helpful. Some were pleasant and really good, several were not so much. The food choice on the buffet was very large and for the most part good, dining area had smaller menu choices, disappointed on the small selection but food was ok. The entire ship seemed HOT, uncomfortable to me, other than our cabin which was much more comfortable. Biggest complaint was the drink package, we had the classic drink package, but in the fine print, that only covered up to $10.00 drinks, so kept you on your toes to abide by that, as the only bourbon in that class was Jim Beam, and several of the bars had NO drinks that where covered. Even with special care still ended up getting a couple drinks over the max cost and was charged the difference. This was never explained before hand, as we have gotten drink packages on several cruises and other than complete top shelf or specialty type drinks everything was covered. For our 50th anniversary we wanted a spectacular vacation, and spectacular is what we got. I didn't try to tell Anne exactly where we wanted to go, only what I hoped to see. Having not worked with a travel agent in years we were unsure of what to expect. Anne made the process simple. We were unsure of my son's passport arrival so Anne was prepared to offer cruise alternatives in case we didn't get in time. Thank goodness we did because the Alaska cruise was amazing. Necessary information was provided to us timely regarding our cruise like check-in and the ArrivCan application. Since we live on the west coast Anne was able to book Seattle flights on embarkation and disembarkation days. Overall a great experience and we want to take another cruise again. After a year of trying to make our minds up on a destination Anne with Cruise Planners helped us decide on an adult cruise with Virgin Voyages, and we couldn't have been more pleased. Sir Richard has gone above and beyond with the Scarlet Lady. From the room where you do everything with the Ipad, from turning on the TV, ordering towels and changing the lights, to the restaurant concepts, where the food was out of this world, as well as the service. Everywhere you went the staff said hello, asked how your day was, went out of their way to assist you with anything you needed. They were constantly cleaning, brushing the edge of the carpets in the hall, wiping down the walls to even painting the Hull when we docked in Bimini.
